Professional Statement:

Dr. Pevnick studies the use of health information technology to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. He has collaborated with researchers at UCLA and the RAND Corporation to investigate electronic prescribing, health information exchange and clinical decision support. His current research focuses on optimizing health information technology to improve medication management, with special attention to older adults at care transitions. He is board certified in medical informatics and played an operational role in the rollout of Cedars-Sinai's inpatient electronic health record.
